Boxer

Neighborhood Watch

Neighborhood Watch

Hahaha, Finally! Biggs is tall enough to look over the balcony to see what's going on, on the other side. For the longest time he would hear noises out front, run upstairs, go through the screen on the screen door {he made his own doggie door by plowing through it for us} only to find that he wasn't tall enough to see over yet. {Whomp. Whomp.} But today was the day!! He did it!! Biggs looks so fierce and so proud up there.

Upside Down

Upside Down

Now that Biggs is getting older, more of his personality is starting to shine through. I love it! I would classify him as a free-spirited, happy-go-lucky, fun-loving dog with a crazy streak. I mean crazy in a good way though. He loves to join any of the family members on their bed, in fact, once he's on he'll take it over. Here I caught him taking a nap on my daughters bed making himself completely comfortable as if it were his own. See, crazy! Who sleeps like this?

No More Firewood

Man, the life of this boxer!! I came home today to Biggs chewing on the firewood! Are you serious? What could possibly be the attraction to a log with a lot of slivers in it? Wouldn't you like to chew on the actual chew toys we bought you? Anyway, it's kind of cute, but I hope this puppy phase of chewing ends soon. =]

Biggs Likes to Chew

Nothing is off limits to this dog!
Nobody in the family is safe.
You really can't leave anything lying around the house in fear that Biggs might get to it.

We should have named him JAWS! Biggs has to be getting up on the counters or my desk to be getting this stuff, I didn't think he was that tall yet. Notice I didn't say smart? I have to admit, he's pretty stealth about his movements. It's funny how I can't catch him in the act of actually swiping something, but I can catch him while he's chewing it. It's almost as if he's chewing it in front of me to say "ha ha, look what I can do", that little bugger!!! I love him so.

Biggs the Wannabe Triathlete

Biggs the Wannabe Triathlete

Today Biggs chewed my brand new pair of goggles... the package too! I'm currently training for a triathlon and my old goggles always fogged up something fierce. I took a poll on Facebook from my triathlete friends and turns out they like a different brand than what I bought, but the review on these assured me of no fogging.

8 Months Old

Biggs is growing up so fast, he's now 8 months old. I figure the more chew toys I give him the less he will chew things he's not supposed to. I saw this squeeky cow and figured he'd like it. His favorite stuffy toys aren't the ones that squeak, they're actually the ones that go "meh". Aren't they just precious together?

Graduation Day

Graduation Day

Our time in Puppy Class is done. I'll miss how Biggs would walk in the store like he needed a theme song playing in the background. How excited he was to go someplace in the car, but how bored he was in class. I think PetSmart has a really good program for puppies and would recommend it for the basics.

Jail Time

It turns out Biggs really really has a problem with chewing things that don't belong to him so he got some jail time today. So sad, I'm so mad though. He ate my good graphite pencil for sketching...there's only splinters left, he chewed my special sketching eraser + ate a paper sample book!!! I'm hoping it's a puppy phase and not a bad dog phase. I also don't want him to think the kennel is a bad place and then won't go in there when he's tired or whenever. I wonder how they know the difference?
